My Newsletter is My Hidden Power

Almost two years ago, when I embarked on my journey as a Virtual Assistant, I had to take on many new tasks that I thought would be challenging.

My Newsletter was one example. I learned the importance of publishing it consistently and how it contributed to building relationships, getting clients and driving growth. 

My first newsletter seemed like it took forever to write because I had so many ideas and found myself procrastinating. I quickly put my teaching skills into practice and started writing articles the same way I approached lesson plans, stories, and poems for children. Today, I am proud to say My Newsletter has become My Hidden Power.

Here's why my Newsletter is My Hidden Power: 

1. It's a great way to keep connected with clients and prospects: Through my newsletter, I can connect with people all over the world. My subscriber list is growing rapidly, and I make it a point to ask everyone I meet if they would like to receive it in their inbox. It's a great way to share personal information, valuable tips and resources that help build trust and strengthen relationships.

2. An avenue to educate and add value: My newsletter gives me the flexibility to customize content, share tips, demonstrate skills and knowledge to enhance business operations and provide valuable insights. This not only increases my credibility but also give my readers a sense of who I am and how I can help them.

3. It's a great way to tell people about my work: I am able to share success stories, client testimonials, projects I've completed, business updates and the next big thing I am working on.

4. The content can be reused repeatedly: My newsletter serves multiple purposes beyond getting in my reader's inbox. I break it into tips or highlights to be repurposed. Strategically reusing my newsletter content saves time while keeping my audience engaged across multiple platforms.

Below are some tips on how to make your newsletter your hidden power: 

• Post it on your website

• Post on LinkedIn as an article

• Announce it on your personal and business Facebook page

• Post as story on Instagram

• Use sections of the content to create reels

• Script can be used for Podcast content

• Transform the content into slides for presentation, workshops or speaking engagement.

I am glad I started writing my newsletters. Publishing them is one of the most rewarding moments in my business. I enjoy reading them and seeing them displayed on my website.

The hidden power is evident when someone mentions they've been reading my newsletters and are ready to start on a project with me, or when a reader sends an email just to say hello. I am glad I took the actionable advice to begin crafting my newsletters.
